Bespoke software, owned outright

Stop renting your software. Own it.

We rebuild the SaaS you pay for every month as software that belongs to you. For 24 months you pay what you pay today. Then you pay nothing, ever again, and the code is yours.

You're renting a warehouse to store a bicycle

Software has turned into a renting economy, and the tenants have started to notice.

Prices creep

Increases of 10 to 20 per cent a year, often unannounced. A bill that felt fair at signing quietly doubles inside five years.

Features get gated

Single sign-on, custom reports and basic integrations get locked behind enterprise tiers built for companies ten times your size.

You pay for bloat

Most businesses use a fraction of the product and pay for all of it, for every seat, every month.

There's no exit

Cancelling means losing the workflows and history you've built. The switching cost is the fence around the field.

02

Your price is your bill

Enter what you pay now. The number you see is the number you'd pay: fixed, published, and worked out from your own subscription.

What every project includes

A fixed outcome with a defined scope. No open-ended time and materials.

1
1

Scoping audit

A fixed-fee discovery exercise that maps what your team actually uses in your current software, which is usually far less than you pay for, and defines the replacement.

2
2

Build

AI-assisted development removes the boilerplate, which is what makes bespoke work affordable at this price. Humans own the design, the review and the testing.

3
3

Migration

Your data, integrations and history moved across as a scoped, tested deliverable. This is where most replacements fail, and where we won't.

4
4

Acceptance

A two-week beta window: your people test the build in staging, nothing goes live until you sign it off, and the 90-day warranty starts at that sign-off.

5
5

90-day warranty

Defects against the agreed specification fixed for 90 days from acceptance. Written into the contract, with no small print that surprises anyone.

6
6

Handover

Code, documentation and infrastructure contracts in your own name. Hosting typically costs £20 to £300 a month with a provider such as Cloudflare, on your account.

Month 25 is the whole pitch: the subscription keeps billing. Deedware stops.

For two years your cash flow doesn't move. After that, the largest line on your software bill is gone for good.

Built on a contract you can read

Deedware is founded by a solicitor, and it shows in the paperwork.

Defined specification

What you're getting is agreed in writing before a line of code is written. Anything outside it is priced as a change, in advance, never after the fact.

Ownership on the final instalment

The code is assigned to you when the last instalment clears. Until then you have full use of it. Straightforward, and fair to both sides.

A clean exit

Code, domain, hosting and data all in your name. No lock-in, no proprietary format, no ransom on your own information.

06

Who it's for

Limited companies paying a four or five figure monthly sum for software they've outgrown or never fully used. The sweet spot is 20 to 35 seats.

Questions, answered plainly

Is this a loan?
No. We supply software and you pay for it in 24 monthly instalments under the contract. No money is advanced and there is no interest. We offer this to limited companies only, and we check at Companies House.
What if I stop paying?
Support and updates stop, and the assignment of the code to you doesn't take effect until the final instalment. In some cases we ask for a director's guarantee of the agreement. Payment is by Direct Debit, so a missed payment is rare and obvious.
Is the price really just my bill times 24?
That's the published formula and the starting point. A short scoping audit confirms it. Above a certain size we cap the price below the two-year mark, and below a minimum project value we decline or restructure, so the work stays properly resourced.
Do I pay anything after month 24?
Not to us for the software. You pay for hosting on your own account, typically £20 to £300 a month. An optional maintenance retainer (£300 to £1,000 a month) covers updates, fixes and changes. Even with both included, the maths favours owning from around month 25.
What happens to my data?
Migration is a scoped, tested deliverable. Your data, integrations and history are moved across and checked as part of acceptance. At the end, the data sits in your infrastructure under your control.
What does the VAT look like?
All prices are quoted plus VAT, which you'd normally reclaim as a business.

Ready to make it real?

You've seen your number already: it's in the calculator, and you didn't have to tell us your name to get it. If you like what you saw, the next step is a fixed-fee scoping audit that maps what you actually use and turns that indicative figure into a contracted price. Tell us where to send it. No obligation.
